The five commission members appointed by the governor must include one lawyer, one doctor, and one law enforcement officer; no more than three may be from the same political party. REQUIREMENTS PROCEDURES Appeals: The applicant may seek an informal reconsideration in three steps. First, the director reviews the board's decision; second, the director, investigator, and an independent victim advocate review the decision and meet with the applicant; and third, the applicant meets with the entire board.
